Today, the world is condemning Bashar al-Assad for, ‘gassing innocent civilians.’
Even though most people are clearly saying that as yet there is no way to tell who is responsible for this attack.
Let us lay out some background.
- Bashar al-Assad has had all his chemical weapons removed.
- Assad is just beginning to get over the ‘evil-doer’ image that he has been in for the last few years and is being. Governments that has been calling for his overthrow are now talking about negotiating with him.
- With the help of Russia, Bashar al-Assad is winning the war against the insurgents, right across his country.
So, Assad is winning the war, beginning to become more accepted by the world, (so it would appear). Just what motive would Assad have to stir up worldwide hatred of himself and his government?
Israel at least is now wanting to “destroy Siria’s airforce”.
I can not see any motivation for Assad, nothing that he could gain from this attack.
Who else might benefit?
There has been a concerted effort to stir up hatred of Russia for months or even years.
For example, “Russia hacked the US elections.” which is not even what is being claimed but is a rhetorical statement. But even the claims that are being made appear to have NO evidence, only unsupported accusations.
The last six months or so of psyops against Trump has left it almost impossible for him to stand in support of Assad because Russia is supporting Assad.
If Israel or others under some UN agreement, attack Assad, they will be by implications, maybe fact attacking Russia.
It appears to me that it is very possible that one of the many groups who has been pushing for war with Russia have a lot more to gain than Assad.
