Jacob Rees-Mogg Full Brexit Speech at Bruges Group, Manchester 2017

This is an excellent speech. Full of great arguments and truth… why do the mainstream media try to cloud great speech and argument, media made divisions and manipulated arguments?

Brexiteer MP Jacob Rees-Mogg spoke to a packed hall at a Bruges Group meeting at the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester. Thanks Westmonster for bringing it to us in full.

It is now time to vote.

This is election day for the UK.

We live in a world where we can not take it for granted that we will have the preservation of our freedoms. The continued right to preach the gospel, (our main responsibility). We, (Christians), have always had to fight for the right to freely live and practice our Christian faith.

Paul says, “Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.” (1 Corinthians 7:21). If you have to live as a slave, make the best of it, but if you can be free, “use it.”

We should be doing what we can to maintain our freedom to live for, worship and serve, our God.

Voting is an opportunity to promote, protect, and preserve godly government. Passing up that opportunity means letting those who would denigrate the name of Christ have their way in our lives. The leaders we elect—or do nothing to remove—have great influence on our freedoms.

Jesus said for us to “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.” (Matthew 22:21). Our government has called on us to vote for the government that we feel is the best government to serve our country. We have a responsibility to God to do this to the best of our ability.

“[God] removeth kings, and setteth up kings: He giveth wisdom unto the wise, And knowledge to them that know understanding: (Daniel 2:21)

Today, we have been given the opportunity to use our vote, in His service to bring about the best government possible at this time.

I will not tell you who to vote for, but I suggest you get on your knees before God and seek his wisdom, then exercise your opportunity to vote.

London Terror Attack – June 2017

I feel I should say something… but what can we say at this moment?

Well, I guess first, how sorry we are for all those who are suffering loss or injuries following these attacks.

Having said that, there are people who are suffering loss or injuries all over Britain, and the globe, who are just as hurting and just as much in need of our sympathies as these people. The fact that this is in our capital and the way it unfolded live on TV and on the internet and the fact that there are so many fatalities and injuries all from one event magnifies the shock and pain we feel collectively. Do remember the others too.

We are in fact very fortunate that so far these Islamist killers, have been so poor at killing and injuring. Do not get me wrong… the numbers killed and injured are horrific. But had this happened where there were not armed police on hand, but numbers could have been much higher.

Islam, a problem.

It was encouraging to hear that people are now beginning to change the view that, “We can not say anything bad about Islam.” And we are now beginning to hear people saying that there is a problem that Islam has and that, that needs to be addressed.

Theresa MayTheresa May

Theresa May in her first speech about the London Bridge attacks said,

“to be frank – far too much tolerance of extremism in our country.”

“They are bound together by the single evil ideology of Islamist extremism that preaches hatred, sows division and promotes sectarianism. It is an ideology that claims our Western values of freedom, democracy and human rights are incompatible with the religion of Islam. It is an ideology that is a perversion of Islam and a perversion of the truth.”

[It is through worrying that she seems to be turning to regulate the internet, and not the UK borders, immigration policy or the mosques that spread radical Islamic hate. But admitting the root of the problem is a start.]

[I am not calling for anyone to attack Muslims or to take any action personally against any individual.]

It is encouraging to hear that such thoughts are now being spoken. Until now, political correctness has made such sentiment almost impossible to talk about. But just a few days after Manchester and the sentiment that we must just ‘carry on as before’… we find that carrying on as before, just will not work.

The PC brigade

LBC, (UK Radio Station) has been daring to talk about Islam as a… I can not remember the exact word, but it meant something like a militant religion or a religion that advances by force.

I have no doubt, that a very great many Muslims are very nice people, but we can not pretend that there is not a VERY BIG problem within the teachings of the Koran and the teaching of the mosques, even in Britan.

Maybe now the PC brigade will let us talk honestly without being labelled HATE mongers, or purveyors of hate speech or the like.

We do not hate Muslims, but we do not like the teaching of Islam.

And it is not just a few odd radical Islamists. UK police are following something like 3,000-5,000 people they believe to be a risk and can identify over 23,000 radical Islamist in the UK, and some experts are suggesting the number should be much higher.

Whole Islamic countries have horrific, Islam inspired, treatment of women and people of other faiths.

Wake up Britain, (Europ and other countries that are allowing mass-Islamic immigration), there is a big problem within Islam. If you allow thousands or millions of Muslims into your country, you are very likely to end up with hundreds or thousands of radical Islamists.

[Some time we must talk about the fact that the so-called, “radical Islam, or Islamist, are actually more true to the teaching of the Koran than are the moderate or peaceful Muslims, and the fact that ‘Islam’ should be translated ‘submission’, not ‘peace’.]

UK Election 2017

General Election – Who will I vote for?

I have been looking, as most of you have at the things that the media are telling us about the General Election.

BBC Election Debate GE2017

On the whole, the event was… a disgrace. It was more a school playground shouting match than an informative debate and there were few that come out looking like Prime-ministerial material.

Theresa May was wise not going, and despite the few jibes that were put in about her absence.

Caroline Lucas, Co-Leader of the Green Party, came up with some good challenges about our foreign wars and arms sales, but there was much more heat than light.

The BBC Question Time special

The BBC Question Time special with Corbin and May was much more informative as can bee seen on the BBC website or Youtube.

My Thinking.

It is not really my place to tell you who your should vote for.

Some members of my family have talked about voting for no one… and I understand their feelings. In many ways, there is no party that it rally fit to lead the UK.

However, it is very unlikely that that will result in a more righteous country or more liberty for the gospel.

My thinking has been something like this.

Unless you have The Christian Party standing in your area, and it is unlikely. They only have two candidates. Then UKIP is the closest to my beliefs.

I hope I am not racist or xenophobic, but I believe that for more than one reason, immigration is a threat to our religious freedom. The growth of Islamification, and the growth of globalism and the dilution of individual countries and the threat that brings of the “Liberal elite” taking over are very real challenges that I think we face.

If I could vote for UKIP, without giving Westminster over to a… troubling party I would vote for them. UKIP, however,  will not for the next government, but they have moved the debate in the right direction.

The Scottish National Party, Green Party, Plaid Cymru, are not going to for the majority government. Though they could possibly undermine the possibility of getting a strong government to lead us into the Brexit negotiations.

So we are left with the Liberal Democrats and Labour Party

Liberal Democrats

Tim Faron of the Liberal Democrats has really disappointed me in the way he has succumb to the pressure of the Liberal [illiberal] elite and media to cave in on Abortion and Homosexual sexual intercourse.

And the way he has said he will not tell people what is sinful (right or wrong.)

And talked of sharing Christian values as “Banning on!”

On top of this… as their name suggestions, they are Liberal, Christianity is conservative… with a small “c”. Not Tory but conservative.

The Asperger Home Education review of party views on home education suggest that

“Under a Liberal Democrat government all home educators must register with the local authority and they must have a planned curriculum.”

“The Liberal Democrats are strongly supportive of the state school system and… It is possible that the Liberal Democrats will be more hostile towards home educators than Labour.”

Some of my questions are…

“Do I feel that it is right to borrow your way out of debt?”

“Is it right to borrow and spend money you have no intention of paying back?”

“Is it right to put my spending on my grandchildren’s shoulders?”

We could also ask questions about nationalisation and defence etc.

My conclution is…

Though they are by no means perfect… I believe that I should vote for the Conservatives…

And hope for them to have a good but not over large majority.

And that we should not stop holding them to account for any and every wrong decision that they take.

But you must seek God as to whom you should vote for.

UK Election 2017

The best general election news so far!

There is one piece of news that I have been looking for for a number of days. In fact ever since I heard that Theresa May was calling a general election.

You may think that the General Election is all about Brexit… and in many ways it is and we will look more at this as we get closer to the election. However, I am enjoying looking at the general election as a ‘staying of the murderous hand of those who want women to be able to legally kill their unborn baby at home, effectively by the internet’.

Picture of Diana Johnson

Diana Johnson

On the 12th March 2017, Labour MP Diana Johnson (Kingston upon Hull North) asked the House of Commons for permission to introduce a Private Members’ Bill to the House of Commons. The bill was given its 1st reading before the House of Commons and was due to receive its 2nd reading on the 12th May 2017.

The bill was to “regulate the termination of pregnancies by medical practitioners and to repeal certain criminal offences relating to such terminations; and for connected purposes.” See more on the bill here Reproductive Health (Access to Terminations) bill.

However, as of Wednesday, 3 May, the UK does not have a parliament!

Empty house of commons.

By law, Parliament is dissolved 25 working days before a general election takes place. Given that the next general election is going to be on Thursday, 8 June 2017, this means Parliament was dissolved at midnight – well, 00:01 to be precise! – on Wednesday, 3 May 2017. So parliament can not give a second reading to the Reproductive Health (Access to Terminations) bill.

The bill falls!

‘Parliament.uk’ says this, “This Bill was expected to have its second reading debate on Friday 12 May 2017. However, as a General Election has now been called and Parliament will be dissolved from 3 May 2017, the Bill falls and no further action will be taken.”

This is a fantastic answer to prayer! Thank you, Jesus.

The battle is not over, and who knows Diana Johnson may be re-elected and seek to revive this bill, and even if she is not re-elected, someone else will fight for the right to kill more babies.

Keep this before the Lord.

The EU not the UK is blocking citizens rights.

Yesterday, the Telegraph reported that it was the EU, not the UK, that has been blocking citizens rights.

Revealed: How EU has been secretly plotting to block Theresa May over EU migrants for weeks

They report that “The EU has been plotting for weeks to thwart Theresa May’s plans to secure a deal for British expats in Europe and migrants in the UK.”

Allegedly documents seen by the Telegraph disclose that Mrs May made exactly the same demand to Donald Tusk, the European Council president, at a meeting three weeks earlier. The EU had privately decided to block any deal, leaked documents show, but did not want to reveal such a move publicly.

For weeks, we have endured a barrage of people crying out against the UK government, calling for the rights of the UK and European migrant rights to be safeguarded, Yet all along it has beenBrusselss that has been blocking this move.

Will we now hear a rush to apologise to Theresa May and her government… not likely! No, they will just move on quietly not daring to speak out against the EU, not daring to call then out for their bullying stans on Brexit. Not they will move n to find some other fault with Britan, something else to bring us down.

EU Bullies.

Jean-Claude Juncker and his bullying buddies in the EU need someone to stand up to them.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the EU intend to make Brexit as painful as possible, and are (unless stopped) going to do all they can to break the UK. From exorbitant cash demands to restrictions on our right to negotiate with the rest or the world.

Unless you stand up them, bullies continue to bully and will do the same not only to us but any other nation that might want its freedom.  We must, stand up to the bullies and say enough is enough.

Britain should not have to doff the cap to Brussels and say “yes sir,” and “no sir,” If they do not like us leaving…. tuff. We should not kowtow, and must not give in.

If they are going to demand a separation payment, then we should put the one twenty-seventh share of the assets of the EU that we own up on eBay for sale, and pay them out or the proceeds.

We will not need foreign workers for long.

Fox news is carrying a story that, Oxford University researchers have estimated that 47 percent of U.S. jobs could be automated within the next two decades!

In fact, friends of mine have been at a TV and Radio show where speakers were speculating that the job culling will start much faster than the next two decades, they were speculating that we could be losing a great number of Jobs withing the next two years.

It may well be that the call from groups like the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) saying that it has found that 21% of small firms currently employ staff from an EU country and that more than half that 21% are worried that they will not be able to recruit the right staff in the future without EU migrants.

This, of course, raises a whole series of questions like…

  • Why can not a UK citizen do the job?
  • And if the answer is that there are not enough skilled workers in the UK, how come the much poorer countries from Europe can produce quality qualified staff, who are sufficiently fluent in English to meet employers needs, while the UK can not?

But is it just possible that the question is somewhat mute…

Will robots take over the vacancies left by EU migrants by the time article 50 reaches the end of is process?

[When in this article we talk of robots, we may not be talking about humanoid machines, but also computer programs or algorithms that will be working somewhere on a server.]

What Jobs will these robots be taking?

Will they all be simple manual jobs like we see in the car factories?

No, according to Shelly Palmer, (Named one of LinkedIn’s Top 10 Voices in Technology), many of the next lines of jobs to go will be white-collar jobs! In an article on his blog, he lists five areas he expects to come under the reapers scythe over the next few years.

1 – Middle Management.

He says, “If your main job function is taking a number from one box in Excel and putting it in another box in Excel and writing a narrative about how the number got from place to place, robots are knocking at your door. Any job where your “special and unique” knowledge of the industry is applied to divine a causal relationship between numbers in a matrix is going to be replaced first. Be ready.”

If you are in middle management and think that it is only shop floor workers who are under immediate threat… think again.

2 – Commodity Salespeople (Ad Sales, Supplies, etc.)

If you are in sales and do not add something significantly more to you employer than specifications, price and availability, start thinking about your next gig.

Commodity sales will go the way of Amazon for retail sales. A computer can now beat humans at poker more times than not… they will be better at negotiating business than you are.

3 – Report Writers, Journalists, Authors & Announcers

Already a lot of sports and financial/business reporting is being generated by robots, or rather by a computer algorithm that can instantly sift massive amounts of data and come up with analysis that is readable and sound human.

4 – Accountants & Bookkeepers

A huge amount of accountant and bookkeeping functions are now being handled by computers connected to your bank, order received process and stock control. Soon with will step beyond handling the mundane maths and into fully fledge account management.

5 – Doctors

Robots make amazing doctors, diagnosticians and surgeons.

IBM’s Watson and other pattern matching algorithms are becoming extremely competent at analysing samples and diagnosing disease.

much or your eye test is now actually done in a second with a machine. Today this needs to be administered by a trained technicians and reviewed by an ophthalmologist, but how long until you camera on your phone will be able to perform this service for you with you just following three or four simple instructions. I believe this is already being done in some third world countries.

One company is coming out with a smart toilet that will analyse your… wee and poo everytime you use it. Not yet, but one day it will be fitted everywhere, and not only a huge number of lab tech will be out of work, but many illnesses will be being detected VERY early.

So what should we do?

An Obama administration era prediction suggested that “There is an 83% chance that workers who earn $20 an hour or less could have their jobs replaced by robots in the next five years. Those in the $40 an hour pay range face a 31% chance of having their jobs taken over by the machines.”

So what should/can we do?

In a word or two… I do not know.

If you think that your job could not be done by a robot or an algorithm, you are probably wrong.

Much of Amazon’s warehouses are automated to a large degree, and the human jobs that are still in these facilities are almost certain not there because they could not be replaced by a robot, but that it is not yet politically expedient to go human free.

In x years we will not have taxi drivers and probably not lorry drivers either. Supermarkets are losing till operators in favour of self-service checkouts. Probably the area that you need to be looking at for a healthy job expectancy are areas that include the words, ‘Craft’ or ‘handmade’ or ‘traditional’.

Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus.
