We have spoken about this before, now it is in the New York Times.
They say, “Eurocrats are considering obtaining nuclear weapons as they feel they can no longer rely on protection from America. Support for the proposal seems to come mainly from the Germans.”
Jaroslaw Kaczynski, (The chairman of the Polish PiS party), thinks loudly about the nuclear rearmament of the European Union. The chairman of the national conservative Polish government “Law and Justice” (PiS), in conversation with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , welcomed the idea of an atomic “supermarket” Europe. The plan would apparently see the European Union acquiring the nuclear weapons of France and even Britain. Unless through Brexit, we can put a stop to them getting the UK weapons.
Even if Brexit means that we manage to maintain control of the UK’s nuclear weapons, it appears Germany is intent on gaining control of France’s nuclear arsenal. Who knows, it is just possible with the way that the mood is shifting in France, that they could end up in frexit before this happens.
It is reported that Roderich Kiesewetter, a German foreign policy spokesman told a German newspaper: “My idea is to build on the existing weapons in Great Britain and France.”
Kiesewetter’s plan would see the EU take control of France’s nukes, finance them with German money and force other European member states to store warheads in their countries.
Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons
Under Article, I of the NPT, nuclear-weapon states pledge, “not to transfer nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices to any recipient or in any way assist, encourage or induce any non-nuclear-weapon state in the manufacture or acquisition of a nuclear weapon.”
If the EU is planning on taking control of Frances nuclear weapons, this appears to be a clear breach on Frances side of Article I of the NPT, (Non-Proliferation Treaty).
Article II, says that “non-nuclear-weapon states pledge not to acquire or exercise control over nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices and not to seek or receive assistance in the manufacture of such devices.”
So, Germany and all the other non-nuclear EU countries are also going to be in violation of Article II or the NPT.
The USA has some nuclear warheads in Europe but under US control. It is speculated that the number of warheads in Europe could fall if America withdraws some or all of its weapons. “It’s not a question of numbers (of nuclear warheads),” Mr. Kiesewetter said. “The reassurance and deterrence comes from the existence of the weapons and their deployability.” In other words, at least some of the Germans are rather unhappy that they can not independently fire the nuclear weapons that are in Europe.
Angela Merkel has denied such a plan exists, but it is undeniably being discussed at the highest levels of government across Europe. Hungary and Poland voiced their support of such a plan shortly after Kiesewetter gave his interview.
Most chilling of all is the fact that Kiesewetter said: “These are political weapons. Their use must be unpredictable”. Given how eurocrats have denied there were plans for an EU army, talk of them now obtaining a ‘political weapon’ should send shivers down every European’s spine.
The strong desire, of some German politicians, and some eurocrats from other EU countries, to get their hands on not only nuclear weapons but their desire to have their hand on the nuclear button should be very troubling to us. Especially with the way that NATO countries appear to be doing their very best to antagonise Russia. You could almost believe that some of them are itching for a way. [Do they need something to cover up the coming economic collapse and to hide the fact that they have been bleeding their own citizens dry? This is for another article]
The church should bring this before the Lord, seeking his hand of care and protaction over this matter.
